Find Out the Roles We Believe Dove Cameron Should Play on Broadway

It has been over a week since Hairspray Live! aired on NBC and we still cannot get over Dove Cameron’s performance as Amber Von Tussle. Everything from her voice to her mannerisms left us hoping and praying that we will one day see this girl in a Broadway musical. We know that Descendants 2, which will feature her musical talents once again, will be released next Summer, but we need to see Dove on stage belting it like there’s no tomorrow.

To tide us over until that moment (please let it be sooner rather than later) we have picked a couple of roles we would love to see her take on in the Broadway World.

First up is Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls. Can you just imagine Dove playing the straight-laced Sister Sarah Brown?! Slowly killing us all with her performance of “I’ll Know” with a dreamy Sky Masterson or bewitching us with her rendition of “If I Were a Bell”. She would be utterly fantastic.

Or how about Johanna from Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. We know she has already shown interest in playing this role when a Twitter follower asked if she would play the part in her version of the musical and we think she could totally pull it off. Her voice on “Kiss Me” would be perfect and if the actor who played Anthony was just as good, then we would be golden.

Another role we would love to see her play is Cinderella in Into the Woods. She already looks like the part and I would love to hear her sing “On the Steps of the Palace”. It could be a really fun character for her to play and who doesn’t love a good twist on the fairytale world.

Last but not least, would be Lucy from Jekyll & Hyde. Now, this one was not really on our radar until she mentioned that “A New Life” was her go to audition song and now we can’t stop thinking about how much we want to hear her sing this tune. It would be a completely different role for her and personally we think she would do amazing.

What about you guys? What roles would you love to see her take on in the Broadway world?
