Powerless starring Vanessa Hudgens to Take Place in a Pretty Familiar DC Comics Place

New details on Vanessa Hudgens’ new series, Powerless have been released. NBC has released the official synopsis for the show and we now know that the show will be set at a pretty familiar place to DC Comic Fans.

The company Vanessa’s character, Emily will work for is called, Wayne Security and it is own by Bruce Wayne. The company is a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises, which is located in Gotham City. I am going to guess the show won’t be set in Gotham, but we can expect there to be a lot of Bruce Wayne name dropping in the series.

Under the jump, you can read the full synopsis for the show. It was also announced that the show will premiere on NBC on February 2 at 8:30pm! Make sure to check the site on that day for our review of the show.

In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.
