2016 American Music Award Nominees Announced
The nominees for the 2016 American Music Awards were announced today, October 10 in New York City. Joe Jonas and Rachel Platten were on hand to announce this year’s nominees on Good Morning America.
Justin Bieber walked away with a number of nominations including “Artist of the Year” and “Video of the Year”. Selena Gomez landed two nominations, as did Carrie Underwood, and Ariana Grande earned a nomination for “Artist of the Year”.
Fifth Harmony was nominated for “Collaboration of the Year”, while DNCE received two nominations, “New Artist of the Year” and “Favorite Duo/Group, Pop/Rock”. Zayn Malik and Shawn Mendes were also nominated for “New Artist of the Year”.
