Could Supergirl Be Heading To The CW This Fall?

Could Supergirl be heading to The CW? This new female lead superhero show premiered its first season this past fall on CBS, but apparently due to a high budget and not so high rating, CBS is having trouble coming to terms with a season two renewal.

According to The Wrap, “The network would like the show to come back,…but there’s a problem. The roughly $3 million per-episode price tag CBS pays to broadcast Supergirl — one of the highest license fees ever for a freshman show — isn’t quite justified by the ratings.”

The site goes on to say that even if the show doesn’t receive a renewal from CBS, the heads over at CBS will most likely push it to The CW, where a partnership between CBS and Warner Bros. is already in place. With Upfronts just around the corner, we should hear something fairly soon.

As long as it doesn’t get canceled I don’t care where it airs!
