Selena Gomez Teams With Freeform To Produce New Series

Selena Gomez has teamed up with Freeform to develop a new series. The young actress, along with Aaron Kaplan, are currently in the process of developing a new drama for the channel.

According to Deadline, this new series is “described as a Latina Empire that is set in a low-income Latino neighborhood and is told through the eyes of an 18-year-old girl destined for greatness”. Selena boarded the project after Freeform’s EVP programming Karey Burke brought Kaplan’s idea to her.

As of right now the project is searching for a writer with hopes of production beginning later this year. No word as been released on whether or not Selena will make an appearance on the show, but we will keep you informed.
