Rowan Blanchard Discusses Recent Events With feminine.collective

Rowan Blanchard was a recent guest writer for feminine.collective. The young actress took a moment to discuss the recent world events and how those events affect her.

During her article, Rowan speaks openly about not understanding the world we live in where innocent children are killed stating, “I cried in my dressing room through lunch, because I could not understand the world we live in, where innocent children die senselessly. As I write this today, I still cannot understand.

This particularly horrifying act struck me because those children, no matter where they came from, were CHILDREN. Just like me. Just like my eight-year-old brother. And my eleven-year-old sister. And everyone in school today.”

She goes on to chat about a recent discovery she uncovered while chatting about politics with her friends. She states, “A few weeks ago, I was having a political conversation with several of my best friends. During our conversation, I realized we are all the SAME kids growing up in the SAME world. Our fears, whether we choose to recognize them or not, are the same. And, when we choose to think of ourselves as not the center of the universe, but rather one of many, we see that, as humans, we can have an important effect on this world.”

Rowan brings up a lot of good points throughout her brief article. I am happy that she took the time to express her opinions and make it known that teens can have opinions on the recent events as well.
