Taylor Swift is officially single according to her representation. The young singer had her rep reach out to PEOPLE magazine to let the public know that she is not in a relationship.

According to the site her rep stated, “Taylor remains happily single. It is disappointing that her one birthday request was ignored.” The birthday request in question is in regards to a recent tweet of Taylor’s that read, “As my 25th birthday present from the media, I’d like for you to stop accusing all my friends of dating me. #thirsty.

The need to confirm her relationship status comes only hours after US Weekly reported that she was dating 1975 front man, Matty Healy. According to a source for US, “It’s very new and they’re having fun. They’re seeing where things go.”

Even with a private jet I know if I could justify flying to three shows in three different states for one guy if there wasn’t some sort of spark like Taylor has done for Matty so far.
