Didn’t Think It Would Happen

Jennifer Lawrence and Lucas Till will be appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Apparently, a clip from their movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, featuring the duo and Evan Jonigkeit will air as a post credits scene.

Empire is reporting, “The scene featured sees Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique, Lucas Till’s Havok and Evan Jonigkeit’s Toad taking on William Stryker (Josh Helman) and his military men. Without wishing to spoil anything, let’s just say that Mystique once again demonstrates her formidable fighting skills in the brief segment.”

This is the first time Sony and 20th Century Fox have allowed their Marvel movies to crossover. Usually Sony keeps it’s Marvel movies in the Sony world and 20th Century FOX keeps its Marvel movies in the 20th Century FOX world.

Hopefully, this means we will be seeing Spider-Man join up with the X-Men sometime in the future! The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released May 2!

UPDATE: According to Variety, no crossover is in the works. The reason for the clip is because “Spider-Man” director Marc Webb had an existing contract with Fox Searchlight to helm another film following 2009′s “500 (Days) of Summer.” After “The Amazing Spider-Man” in 2012, Webb’s negotiations briefly stalled with Sony as he was caught in a tug-of-war with Fox. Eventually, Fox agreed to allow Webb to direct Sony’s “Spider-Man” sequel, but only if Sony would promote its “X-Men” film for free.”

Well that is no fun at all!
