It’s Really Not Fair

Jennette McCurdy is currently in the middle of quite the feud with Nickelodeon. The young star is one of the leads on Nick’s popular show, Sam & Cat, also starring Ariana Grande.

News of a feud began when Jennette was a no-show at the Kids’ Choice Awards, even though she was scheduled to attend. Jennette took to her Twitter after the show to clarify why she didn’t go stating, “I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing.”

According to TMZ,  “McCurdy’s dissatisfaction is rooted in her paycheck. We’re told the pint-sized star is pissed that Grande makes WAY MORE money than her and she’s been trying to renegotiate her deal … so far to no avail.”

The show is on hold for right now since production can’t begin until the money issue is resolved. I sincerely hope that these two get something worked out! I would hate to see something happen to Sam & Cat or Jennette.

UPDATE: Deadline is reporting that Nickelodeon has halted production on the last few episodes of Season 1, forcing the show to go on “permanant hiatus”. The network has also let all but the post production crew go on hiatus.
