Kick It Around

Louis Tomlinson hit the field with the Doncaster Rovers yesterday, February 26, for his debut match. The team played Rotherham to a 0-0 draw.

Louis took the field a little after the 60 minute mark to replace Jordan Binns at right back. Louis was able to maintain good control of right backfield and defended it well enough to stop Rotherham from scoring a goal.

Louis was nothing but smiles after the game’s conclusion. He took to his twitter multiple times to express his excitement and thanks stating, “Wow what an incredible experience . Can’t put into words how I feel 🙂 I will never forget pulling on my own Doncaster Rovers shirt!!

Really can’t thank the team, the gaffer and every single person involved at Doncaster Rovers enough ! I feel like a 10 year old again! And obviously a huge huge thank you to everyone who came down 🙂 a real credit to our fans 🙂 hope it was a good day out!”

Congrats to Louis on a great first game! Hopefully, he is able to play a few more before hitting the road again in the Spring.
