A new promo photo of Carrie Underwood as Maria Von Trapp in the Sound of Music has been released. Carrie will be joined by Stephen Moyer as Captain Von Trapp in the live action musical.

Carrie and her cast mates will be performing the musical in front of cameras, instead of a live studio audience, and using commercial breaks for major costume and scene changes. The instrumental music will be pre-recorded for sound quality, but the singing will all be done live.

The musical is set to air LIVE on NBC on December 5! I can’t wait to see her in this!
