Miley Cyrus opened up to MTV about her recent Video Music Awards performance. The star performed her single “We Can’t Stop” and “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke at the award show on August 25.

The performance garnered a lot of attention from not only the media, but from celebrities and fans. In the interview, Miley tells MTV that she and Robin knew their performance would make history, just like Britney and Madonna.

Miley is now set to head to Europe where she will begin promotions for her upcoming album, Bangerz.
