Taylor Swift and One Direction both had songs make the Top 40 2012 Global Hitlist. Both acts released new albums this past year that sat on the Hot Charts for weeks.

One Direction’s song “What Makes You Beautiful” hit the list at #18 and Taylor’s song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” came in at #13 (Taylor’s favorite number).

I am interested to see what songs will make the Top 40 for 2013? I see good music for this year!
