How You Do, What You Do

Hunter Hayes talked to CMT Offstage in Chicago on December 12 about his family’s move from Louisiana to Nashville when Hunter was a junior in high school.

Hunter told the country site, “My folks and I, we moved about five years ago. It was a huge leap of faith. And a quick decision — and we are not a quick-decision kind of family. We’d been visiting Nashville for about three years. Every month, we’d take a weekend trip.”

Although, once Hunter got his first deal in the music capital his mom took the initiative and moved the family. “She went up there two weeks before the end of my junior year in high school. She rented a house, she put me in the school district and got me enrolled in their summer program,”.

Hunter graduated high school and opted to follow his love for music and become the star we all know and love today!
