The first official still from The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones has been released. The movie is based off the best selling book by Cassandra Clare.

In the image, fans can see the lead character Clary Fra, played by Lily Collins, holding her hand up. The palm of her hand features one of Clary’s self created runes on it.

The movie will be released to theaters on August 23, 2013!!!
