It Takes A Good Eye

Neil Lane, jewelry designer, sat down with PEOPLE to discuss designing teen star, Miley Cyrus’ engagement ring. Miley’s fiance  Liam Hemsworth, proposed this past May.

Neil revealed to the magazine, “Doing Miley Cyrus’ engagement ring, that was huge. It got so much attention, I was actually surprised.” The reason behind the attention was because the ring was made of yellow gold.

Neil also said, “[Liam Hemsworth] was really happy allowing me to use gold. I think it gave meaning to what [Miley] was wearing, something different, something to be proud of.”
