Zoey Deutch Premieres Flower at Tribeca Film Festival

April 20, 2017 - Author: admin

Zoey Deutch premiered her new film, Flower at the Tribeca Film Festival tonight, April 20 in New York City. Zoey was joined at the premiere by her costars, Joey Morgan, Maya Eshet, and Max Winkler.

In the film, “Seventeen-year-old Erica Vandross (Zoey Deutch) isn’t like most teenage girls. When school’s out, for example, she and her two best friends seduce older men in order to extort money from them—you know, typical extracurricular activities.

Much of Erica’s rebellious attitude stems from the abandonment of her biological father, who’s in jail and has left her similarly free-spirited mother (Kathryn Hahn) to raise Erica alone. Everything changes, however, when mom invites her new beau (Tim Heidecker) and his overweight and fresh-out-of-rehab son (Joey Morgan) to move in with them, giving Erica an unexpected connection to the “hot older guy” (Adam Scott) she and her friends obsess over at the local bowling alley.”

She looked great at the premiere. I hope she had fun!

Zoey Deutch Covers The May Issue Of Marie Claire Magazine

April 10, 2017 - Author: admin

Zoey Deutch is on the cover of the May issue of Marie Claire magazine. The young actress is part of the magazine’s “Fresh Faces” issue alongside Emily Ratajkowski, Aja Naomi King, Janelle Monae, and Alexandra Daddario. Highlights from her interview are below.

On a motto she lives by: “I was raised to do what you love and work your f—cking ass off. Be humble. Be nice to people. And you might be ready to be lucky.”

On an actor’s part in politics: “That will be a debate forever. Before I was an actor, I was a human and a citizen. As an actor, your job is to inhabit different people’s lives and honor their feelings and be empathetic to other people’s struggles. Just because you are an actor, you are not immediately an activist. But if you do have the platform and the opportunity to speak out, then I think it is your civic duty—especially right now—to be on the right side of history. We only have so long on this planet.”

You can check out even more from Zoey’s interview and the other ladies’ interview, along with two behind the scenes videos, here.
