Lauren Jauregui Talks the Women’s March on Washington with Nylon

January 23, 2017 - Author: admin

Last, but not least, I leave you with a photo of myself. This was single handedly the most incredible day of my life. For so long I felt so alone and hopeless in my belief in humanity and love and this day proved to me just how wrong I was in thinking I was alone. I witnessed so many powerful women, men, and queer folk alike of all different genders, races, religions, classes, sexualities, you name it..come together for one common goal, equality and justice and peace. It left a fire in my soul that can never be extinguished and a reminder in my heart that my voice can NEVER be silenced. We ARE the people, THIS IS what Democracy looks like. And I will NEVER be silenced by fear or hatred or bigotry or any other infringement on our rights as human beings because we have one sole purpose in this world and that is to LOVE one another and LOVE ourselves and realize humanity's potential. FUCK THE SYSTEM AND THE PATRIARCHY. This pussy will never be grabbed or silenced. I MARCH and fight with my brothers and sisters and I will always be proud of my voice. I hope you are too❤️

This past weekend, Lauren Jauregui joined thousands of women all the other nation as they descended on Washington, D.C. for the Women’s March on Washington. Nylon Magazine caught up with the Fifth Harmony member after the march on Saturday, January 21 to talk to her about why she marched, the crowd, confidence in her womanhood, Planned Parenthood and so much more. Highlights can be found below.

On why she marched: I’m marching for human rights in general, because the upcoming administration has clearly made a statement about who they support and what kind of regime they intend to instill. I’m marching for women, I’m marching for the LGBT community, I’m marching for immigrants. I happen to fall into all three categories [laughs], so I’m marching for myself at the end of the day and for my family and my friends. And for whoever else deserves it.

On what the crowd was like: “It was the most incredible, humbling experience to be in the presence of so many humans who were so willing to come together. When I was there, we were trying to get to the bathroom and then trying to get back into the crowd, and it was absolutely impossible because it was so packed, and there was this woman who was in a wheelchair. We were trying to get up onto the ledge, and she was like, ‘use my wheelchair! Come on!’ She literally let us use her as a stepping stool. It was crazy. Everyone was so helpful, helping each other out.”

January 18, 2017 - Author: admin

Fifth Harmony took the stage at the People’s Choice Awards this evening, January 18, to perform for the first time ever as a four person group. The ladies rocked the stage by singing their hit single “Work From Home”.

Former group member Camila Cabello dropped out of the group late last year after her contract was up with the group. However, the other ladies vowed to continue on as a group and it looks like they will be just fine seeing as they also took home the award for “Favorite Group” tonight.

How do you think the girls did?

Ashley Greene rocked Jeffrey Dodd Pre-Fall 2017 sequined dress while the girls of Fifth Harmony, who are performing tonight, chose to wear champagne colored dresses. Victoria Justice looked great in gold.

Fifth Harmony is Headed to Asia

- Author: admin

Fifth Harmony is headed to Asia. The girls will be taking their 7/27 tour to multiple countries in Asia this coming March and April.

This will be the first time the girls will be on tour without former member, Camila Cabello. Camila called it quits from the band in December when her contract with the group was up.

You will find the girls’ tour dates and city stops under the jump. I am glad the girls are still pushing on with everything that has happened over the past couple of weeks. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for their fans in 2017.

Camila opted to leave the group when her contract was up this past December.
