Elle Fanning presented her film, Ginger and Rosa at the L’Oreal Paris Cinema Club in Cannes, France yesterday, May 19. The event was one of the many taking place at the Cannes International Film Festival.
Ginger and Rosa was a film that Elle released back in 2012. The film looked at the lives of two teenage girls – inseparable friends Ginger and Rosa — growing up in 1960s London as the Cuban Missile Crisis looms, and the pivotal event that comes to redefine their relationship.
Elle looked great at the event and I love that she got to show this film off again!

Elle will premiere her first film, How To Talk To Girls At Parties, on Sunday, May 21 after multiple days of press. She will then begin press for her next film The Beguiled in anticipation of its premiere on May 24.

Elle Fanning attended the premiere of Ismael’s Ghosts and Cannes Opening Gala this evening, May 17. The young actress looked to be in wonderful spirits as she greeted Susan Sarandon and showed off her fancy dress.
Elle is at the Cannes Film Festival to premiere her brand new movie The Beguiled. This new creation from Sofia Coppola will screen at the festival on May 24.
Elle Fanning was spotted at the Nice Airport yesterday, May 16. The young actress looked to be in wonderful spirits as she waved to the photogs before jumping into her car.
Later in the day, Elle was spotted frolicking in the water in Cannes as she enjoyed the sun and sand. Elle will soon be super busy promoting her new film The Beguiled at the festival and shooting hew campaign material for L’Oreal.
A brand new poster for The Beguiled has been released. Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Colin Farrell star in the remake of the 1971 drama.
Based on the novel The Beguiled by Thomas P. Cullinan, “The story unfolds during the Civil War, at a Southern girls’ boarding school. Its sheltered young women take in an injured enemy soldier. As they provide refuge and tend to his wounds, the house is taken over with sexual tension and dangerous rivalries, and taboos are broken in an unexpected turn of events.”
Directed by Sofia Coppola, the film will be released to theaters on June 23. However, before it is released in theaters it will premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival at the end of the month.

On her temper: “My mom and my sister are always like, ‘That’s not something you brag about.’ But I tell strangers—I’m also very trusting of people—like, ‘I get so mad!'”
On directing: “I definitely, definitely want to do that. As an actor, you’re exploring someone else’s vision. I’d like to be able to create that vision instead. I know it’s hard—so many people asking you questions all the time. It’s a huge challenge. But I want that.”
