Filming Begins On Film Adaptation Of The Musical Wicked

Filming has official begun on the film adaptation of the musical, Wicked. Director Jon M. Chu unveiled the exciting news earlier today, December 7.

The news of filming comes only a few short hours after Variety announced that Tony nominee, Ethan Slater would be joining previously announced Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Jonathan Bailey as Boq.

Filming is currently underway in London and will continue into the middle of next year. As of right now, Universal plans to release the first of two movies on December 25, 2024.
