Yara Shahidi stars in the “Hollywood Issue” of Vanity Fair magazine. The young actress is apart of the magazine’s “Vanities” section. Highlights are below.

On when she found out grown-ish had been picked up: “I heard that it had been picked up while I was at prom. It was surreal. I’m so excited to tell these new stories; it’s my turn to talk to the camera.”

On meeting Angela Davis: “My grandfather was a Black Panther, and there’s a picture of them together, so hearing her speak was just incredible.”
