On his reaction to last night’s finale twist
“When we initially read the script it ended with Kirsten not remembering and having amnesia. And we were like “‘h god, okay, so Season 4 we just have to rebuild her. We have to teach her again. What do we do?’ And, that was the initial table read and it was still very emotional. Then towards the final days of shooting our show-runner, Jeff, came into my trailer and he was like ‘I’ve been thinking, what do you think of this idea? What if we end it how we end it, but we throw on a tag and we throw on the ‘I’ll never forgive you for what you are making me do to Cameron’. I think the entire casts’ jaws drop when we heard that because that was the kicker we were looking for. Before it was soft, it was special, it was ‘Oh interesting. Okay how do we do this?’ But now it opens up the door for so much more. ‘What do mean, why is she doing this op?’ We know it’s to protect Cameron, but protect Cameron from what? And, who is she talking to and what does this secret mission entail? How long has this mission been going on and was this all planned? ‘Who’s behind all this?’ It really propels us into what, I think, will be one of our best seasons yet and like I’ve been saying, I want to know as much as the fans are going to want to know. It gives us a great platform to build upon for another season for sure.”

On Cameron and Stinger’s relationship going forward:
“He doesn’t want anything to do with Stinger, but he knows at this point it is his best and only option. Cameron, obviously is going to listen to Kirsten in this situation, despite what he says, he is going to accept what she is asking of him and let Stinger pilot the stitch alongside Cameron. It obviously comes to a head when they fight. I think Cameron finally has some culmination of all the seasons built of the stress that is put not only on Kirsten, but the team, that this man has done to them. And now he is sitting there telling him [Cameron] what to do as if he thinks he is the smarter scientist. It is a pissing contest in a bit of a way, but it’s also a big moment for the two. For Stinger to realize that ‘Yes, I might not have been the best father and I have been placing my priorities over my family’ and then it also gives Cameron the light bulb moment of ‘Wait, I think you are completely wrong. I think we have to split them and we have to switch the technology.’ It is a hard moment, but at the end of the day it’s justified by them having this realization of ‘Okay, I need to take a back seat and listen to you and I need to take a backseat and listen to you in this moment to get what we both want in this moment’.”

On if the effects from this episode will affect Cameron going forward:
“I think so. I would love to see in a Season 4 a time jump of 6 month later, 9 months later, a year and how this final stitch affected the entire team. Now that the mind is fully mapped, now that Kirsten’s fully evolved, now that we have saved Jacqueline Stinger, do we take a break? Do we walk away? Did we pass the technology on to someone else? Where are they now and how has this affected the team and what their lives are without the program? How has this affected Cameron knowing that he is nothing without Kirsten, but he’s also nothing without the program? Has that taken a turn for the worse in how he is dealing with that reality? All the while, what has Kirsten been doing in her off time and what does this mission actually entail as far as why she is protecting Cameron? While we are all grieving in a way, she’s actually training to protect the team. I think that will be a really interesting way to come back in Season 4 that we have all talked about with Jeff (Schechter) as far as how we want to start it. That seems to be one of the forefront ideas of how we come back, hopefully if we are lucky enough we’ll get to see how that plays out.”

On what he loved most about this season:
“I think we saw it in episode 9, where he finally comes to Maggie. The one he has been working with the longest and he squares off with her and he says, ‘Look. I don’t work for you, I don’t work for the NSA. I am here for Kirsten, so you’ve got to tell her where her mother is or I’m out.’ Because obviously we could jump into the backstory that we haven’t seen between those two, but Cameron and Maggie are essentially the reason this program exists. Everyone else is here to aid their technology and the program. To have that moment between the two, who have been working together the longest, I think is a penultimate moment for Cameron. He went from nerdy sidekick in Season 1 to gaining a little more confidence in Season 2 and going out on a limb and stepping up in the lab. Being a more heroic leader for the team and to now looking at your boss, who’s in charge of a government facility, and saying this doesn’t work without me, so you’ve got to listen to me. Coming into his own realizing that he has a lot more working power than he might have been utilizing at this point.”
