John Legends Talks his and Ariana Grande’s Beauty and the Beast Duet
John Legend opened up about working with Ariana Grande on a remake to title track from Beauty and the Beast, “Beauty and the Beast”. It was announced earlier this month that the two were recording their own version of the song, which will be played in the live action movie.
During WGN America’s TCA press day yesterday, January 17, when asked about the song and working with Ariana Legend revealed, “It’s such an iconic song and, as a singer, it’s a great challenge to try to remake a song that people already love quite a bit. Ariana’s a wonderful singer. I felt like we’d make a good team to try to tackle it. So when Disney reached out to me, I agreed to do it.”
Their version of the song will also be featured on the movie’s soundtrack, which will be released on March 10. Beauty and the Beast will be released to theaters on March 17.
