Jennifer Lawrence and Miley Cyrus React to Presidential Election

Jennifer Lawrence and Miley Cyrus have shared their reactions to the recent Presidential Election. Jennifer shared hers via an an open letter, while Miley shared hers via a video.

In Jennifer’s letter, she asks those who are angry over the election to get up and do something. She asks people to not blame one another, but to “…think strongly and clearly about what to do next because we cannot change the past.” She goes on to say, “Do not let this defeat you—let this enrage you! Let it motivate you! Let this be the fire you didn’t have before. If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of color, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman—don’t be afraid, be loud!”

Miley took to her Facebook yesterday, November 9 to share her feelings via a video. In Miley’s tearful video, she says she “accepts” the next President and ends the video saying urging the President-elect and her followers, ” “please just treat people with love, treat people with compassion, treat people with respect, and I will do the same for you.” You can check out the full video here.
