Take Your First Look at Supergirl’s Newest Vigilante, The Guardian

DC Comics has released the first look at Mehcad Brooks as The Guardian. Supergirl’s creators announced earlier this week that James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) would be suiting up this season and taking on the role as vigilante, The Guardian.

As the season progresses, fans will begin to see James question his role in National City and decide to become a vigilante known as The Guardian. Once he dons the shield and mask, tension will begin to rise between him and Supergirl. The reason for this new found tension, the fact that James has chosen to hide his identity as The Guardian for Kara. Thus, leading her to having no idea who is under the mask and when she finds out I can only imagine it won’t be pretty.

Also, it probably won’t be pretty when she finds out that James has recruited Winn as his sidekick. That’s right. James and Winn will be teaming up to take on the baddies, so now James not only lying, but Winn is too!

Dramatic stuff is coming for our favorite trio…I can’t tell if I am looking forward to it or not. Though this should lead to some pretty cool Batman references if the writers play their cards right.
