Nick Jonas rocked The Filmore stage in Silver Spring, MD last night, September 29. The once Jonas Brother showed no signs of missing his brothers as he took the stage solo and performed hits off his self titled album. Opening with his first single “Chains”, Nick had the crowd’s attention all the way until the final beat played in his radio hit “Jealous”.

Of course there were some slow moments. He lost the crowd a tiny bit in the middle of his set, but immediately got them back when he played old favorites like “A Little Bit Longer” and “Who I Am”. He also managed to make this crowd feel even more special when he played “Stay”, which is a song he wrote in Washington, D.C.

Opening for Nick was Bebe Rexha. The singer did a good job getting the crowd pumped for Nick. This girl was impressive. Her songs hit home for so many people in the audience and she found a way to relate to the crowd even when she wasn’t singing. Her best performances were “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy” and “Monster Under the Bed”. “Monster Under the Bed” was a huge crowd hit when the audience realized that this song was actually the original version of “Monster” by Eminem and Rihanna.

All in all, it was a good show. The venue was perfect Nick, but not perfect for his fans. Since it was standing room only, there was a lot of pushing to the front. Hopefully, the next tour he does he will perform in a bigger venue with seats.
