One Direction performed their first show as an official foursome last night, March 28, in Johannesburg, South Africa. Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson performed for 95,000 fans at the FNB Stadium.
One Direction debuted their new introduction video last night which did not include former member, Zayn Malik, who quit the band last week claiming he wanted to live a normal life.
During the show Liam changed the lyrics in “Night Changes” to acknowledge Zayn’s departure, appearing to get a bit choked up as he sang. Zayn is now back in London house-hunting with his fiancee, Perrie Edwards, and working on his solo music.
The four guys were all very thankful throughout the show with Harry telling fans they didn’t know how much they needed their support right now.
One Direction picked up the Kids’ Choice Award for “Favorite Music Group” last night, as well!
