Nobody Else Can See

Demi Lovato performed at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA last night, March 2, on her Neon Lights tour and BeautifulBallad had the chance to see the show. Little Mix and Fifth Harmony opened for Demi, as they have been since the tour started in February.

Fifth Harmony kicked the show off with a six song set. They performed most of their hits, including “Miss Movin’ On” and “Me and My Girls”. The girls moved about the stage and managed to interact with the fans pretty well, though it seemed a bit difficult with all the choreography. Overall, the crowd seemed hyped during their performance and each girl seemed to still have that “ahhh I can’t believe we are doing this” glow about them.

Little Mix then took the stage to also perform a six song set. Much like Fifth Harmony, most of their performance was choreographed but when the girls slowed things down to perform “Little Me” the audience really got the chance to see why these girls won the X-Factor UK.

I was also surprised to hear how many people knew the words to almost every one of their songs! BTW, I could not take my eyes off Jesy Nelson while she was performing. She was having her self a good time up there.

Demi finally took the stage a little after 9pm and the crowd went wild. She performed most of the songs off her brand new album DEMI, while also including a few of her older hits. The use of imagery and pyrotechnics complemented each song quite well, though I wish she had made use of her back-up dancers a bit more.

She used every bit of the stage to her advantage and even took a moment to head out into the crowd to see some of her fans. However, you could tell that Demi was just recovering from a cold because she refrained from singing the higher notes in a couple of her songs.

Overall, the Neon Lights Tour was a great show, that seemed to really keep the audience captivated and intrigued for almost three and a half hours. There were quite a few moments where I even saw a couple Dads, who had been dragged along, moving to the music and even singing to a few songs.

If you are going to see her on one of her later show dates, you are in for quite a treat!
