Scotty McCreery has announced that he will be going to college next Fall!

Scotty told PEOPLE he plans to further his education after he graduates high school in June. He also said, “‘We’re gonna work classes around [and] head out on the weekends on the road or something. We’re gonna work it out.'”

As of right now Scotty has not picked a school. He says, “‘We’re gonna figure it out and decide as a family. I grew up rooting for NC State, and that’s where my dad went. But also, there are schools in Nashville that have been really great – and that’s Music City so we’ll see.”

Go Scotty! It is great to see so many young celebrities going to college! He is going to have a great time!
