Jennifer Lawrence has apparently landed the lead role of Katniss in the upcoming film, The Hunger Games. The movie will be based on the novel by Suzanne Collins.
The role is one of the most sought after in Hollywood right now and according to TheWrap.com, Jennifer won the part. She was rumored to be the front runner for the role and allegedly, “got the offer on Tuesday, and the details were hammered out for two days until the deal closed on Wednesday”.
Not sure how I feel about this pick at all. I like Jennifer alot but I don’t know if I’ll like her as Katniss. I really loved the books and to be honest, Jennifer is not who I pictured in the role.
Now I’m worried about who they’ll pick for Peeta and Gale. This is really why I don’t like it when my favorite books are turned into movies.
