Vanessa Hudgens is featured in this week’s issue of USA Today in honor of the release of her new film, Beastly.
In the article Vanessa spoke on a variety of things,
On why she chose the role of Lindy: “I’m a big fan of the (1991) Disney animated movie. I wanted to be Belle. What girl wouldn’t want to be a princess and find a guy who she can call her own and who transforms into a handsome prince? And I really like the message: ‘Never judge a book by its cover. Looks aren’t everything.’ They may seem like everything, especially in high school, but it’s amazing how it’s so not that.”
On her break-up with ex, Zac Efron: “We’re friends.”
On her transition from her Disney image: “I also had (HSM co-stars) to grow with, like Ashley (Tisdale) and Zac. We all went on this journey together and had each other to fall back on. You’ve got to have your friends to keep your head on straight.”
